    ARMENIA PROPOSED TO HOLD EURONEST PLENARY SESSION IN YEREVAN

    YEREVAN, JANUARY 10, ARMENPRESS: Hovik Abrahamyan National Assembly
    speaker of the Republic of Armenia in the frame of his official visit
    to Brussels had a meeting with the leader of the European Parliament's
    EPP faction Joseph Daul. As Information and Public Relations department
    of the National Assembly informed Armenpress, NA speaker noted with
    a satisfaction the cooperation with EU institutions had a positive
    development, besides Armenian top diplomat underscored the role of
    EPP in the preservation of European identity and the expansion of
    cooperation with European Union partner countries.

    In the course of the launched meeting Hovik Abrahamyan stated Armenia
    had already come forth with an initiative to launch Euronest 2014
    plenary session in capital Yerevan. The sides also dwelled on upcoming
    Presidential Elections due in Armenia on February 18, according to NA
    speaker Armenian authorities have political will to hold transparent
    elections in compliance with the European standards, which will be
    the best guarantee of Armenia's progress.

    Armenian National Assembly speaker Hovik Abrahamyan is set to have
    official meetings with President of the European Council Herman Van
    Rompuy and the President of the European Parliament& Martin Schulz.
