OPPOSITION DID EVERYTHING SO THAT SERZH SARGSYAN NOT HAVE SERIOUS RIVAL

    http://www.aysor.am/en/news/2013/01/09/aharon-adibekyan/

During a meeting with reporters today, sociologist Aharon Adibekian
presented the results of a survey conducted among 1,420 voters in
    December 2012.

The survey showed that 20.5% of respondents were ready to vote for
Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, 5.5% for Raffi Hovannisian. Only 10%
of the electorate of Prosperous Armenia Party (BHK) decided to go to
the polls, and a third of that electorate will vote for Serzh Sargsyan.

According to Adibekian, the role of ARF-Dashnaktsutyun Party is
growing. When asked to name the preferred joint candidate, most
    responders mentioned Raffi Hovannisian.

In Adibekian's words, in some ways the upcoming election resemble
    the 1998 elections.

He said that the main issue regarding the current election is
what percentage of the eletorate will vote in the election. 52%
of respondents are interested in politics, but only 28% decided
who they will vote for, while the remaining 24% have not yet chosen
their candidate. "If these 28% went to the polls today, then Serzh
Sargsyan would receive 72% of votes, Raffi Hovannisian - 20%. I think
the Armenian president does not have a serious rival because it was
the opposition that did everything so that Serzh Sargsyan will not
have a serious rival," the sociologist said.
