YEREVAN. - In November 2012, individuals have sent non-commercial
remittances totaling $163.7 million to Armenia, the Central Bank
informs. To note, this was $180 million in October 2012.

Overall, however, more than $1.5 billion was transferred to Armenia
from January to November, which virtually equaled the twelve-month
    indicator for 2011.

The growth in remittances constitutes close to eleven percent, as
    compared to the previous year.

Russia continues to be the main source of these remittances, as
close to $1.3 billion was received from that country in the eleven
months of 2012. Second is the US, with $60 million. Third and fourth
countries are Kazakhstan and Ukraine, with $20 million and $17.5
    million respectively.
