/PanARMENIAN.Net/ "NATO is concerned over the conveyance of Russian
military equipment from Georgia to Armenia and we will raise the
issue to the Russian leadership in the near future", NATO Assistant
Secretary General for Defense and Policy Planning John Colston
stated in Baku. He welcomed the agreement concluded between Moscow
and Tbilisi on the dislocation of the Russian military bases from the
Georgian territory noting that in this way Russia has honored a part
of the obligations undertaken during the OSCE Summit in Istanbul. "We
welcome the withdrawal of troops. However this step should not affect
regional stability in the South Caucasus", Mr. Colston stressed. In
conclusion the NATO Assistant Secretary General stated that the staff
and armament should be withdrawn to Russia only, IA Regnum reported.
