NALBANDIAN SAYS UK AMBASSADOR'S REMARKS NOT TOO ACCURATE

YEREVAN.- Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian called "not too
accurate" a remark made by UK Ambassador Katherine Leach on upcoming
election.
"I believe it is not too accurate to give assessment prior to the
elections in the level of ambassador. But, it is up to her. If she
decided to make such statements, it is better to think about public
response and the mood formed as a result of such steps," he told
reporters on Thursday.
UK Ambassador to Armenia Katherine Leach has recently commented on the
upcoming presidential vote on her blog. She noted it is disappointing
that three of the key non-government parties in parliament are neither
putting up a candidate of their own nor backing any other. Ambassador
also touched upon the voter list.
