NUMBER OF VOTERS IN ARMENIA TOTALS 2.507.004 PEOPLE

The number of voters in Armenia totals 2.507.004 people as of Jan 29,
the Police press-service reports. 135 people out of the total number,
who are registered in another community, have been temporarily
including in the additional electoral registers on the place of
location on the day of voting.
Another 2 people have no registration in Armenia, but their names were
included in the electoral registers at a polling station of their
location of the day of voting. To note, in compliance with Article
6.8 of the Electoral Code of Armenia, the Police publishes the total
number of voters included in the electoral registers 30,20, and10
days before the presidential election and on the eve of the voting.
Thus, the presidential candidates are as follows: incumbent
president Serzh Sargsyan from the Republican Party and former prime
minister Hrant Bagratyan from the Liberty Party. All the remaining
are self- nominated candidates: Leader of the Union for National
Self-Determination Party Paruyr Hayrikyan, Leader of Heritage Party
Raffi Hovannisian, Advisor for Political Issues of the Refugees and
the International Law Civil Society Network, ex-foreign minister of
NKR Arman Melikyan, Leader of National Accord Party Aram Haroutiunyan,
political expert Andrias Ghukasyan, and specialist in epic Vardan
Sedrakyan. The elections will be held on Feb 18 2013.
