ARMENIAN KEYBOARD IN IOS DEVICES IS IN OUR COMMON INTERESTS - EDUCATION MINISTER TO APPLE CEO

Armenia's minister of education and science has asked the Apple CEO
for his company's efforts to launch an Armenian language keyboard for
the iOS devices.
In a letter to Tim Cook, Armen Ashotyan praises the Apple devices'
role in learning processes, noting that their usage has become
increasingly widespread both in both Armenia and throughout the
Armenian Diaspora worldwide
"Apple's mobile devices have become increasingly widespread both in
Armenia and throughout the Armenian Diaspora worldwide. Needless to
say how strongly Armenian students and schoolchildren favor iPhones
and iPads.
However, their usage by Armenians has some limitations, since the iOS
system has no Armenian keyboard. Nowadays, mobile devices -
particularly tablets - tend to become significant learning tools,
integrated into educational institutions. It is not desirable that
high-quality iPads, which can serve students and teachers in numerous
ways become less competitive than Android tablets only because they
provide no possibility to work, communicate, collaborate, and create
with them in the Armenian language.
I believe the installation of an Armenian keyboard in iOS is in our
common interests.
We are ready to provide our support to this matter," reads Minister
Ashotyan's letter.
