Armenian ex-policeman still waiting for his honestly earned money

Shushanik Nasibova, wife of the former policeman Mkhitar Alumyan,
visited the Armenian presidential residence on Thursday, with her
11-year-old daughter Karina (who has been unable to walk for two
months because of disease).
She asks for her husband's salary to be paid off. Last year she said
that Armenia's President Serzh Sargsyan solved the problem with a
couple of phone calls.
However, the situation is not so happy. Mr Alumyan has been defending
his right to get AMD 6.5m for 10,000 hours of overtime work.
Mrs Nasibova told Tert.am she had to bring her daughter to the
presidential residence.
During President Serzh Sargsyan's meeting with voters in Hrazdan, Mr
Alumyan tried to approach the president, but was stopped by policemen
and security agents. Hovhannes Hovsepyan, Head of the Presidential
Control Service forbade Mr Alumyan to approach the president - he was
well informed of his case and promised to settle the issue on February
7.
On February 2, Mr Alumyan called Mr Hovsepyan, who was absent. Mrs
Nasibova stressed they are grateful to the Armenian president, but
they wanted to inform him that his order has not so far been carried
out.
`I am grateful to the president for helping the treatment of my
daughter's eyes. We are complaining about Armenia's police. Why does
the president have to do so much for my child while my husband cannot
get his honestly earned money?' she says.
