Real estate agencies in Armenia close down, cut staffs

After the recent amendments in the Armenian law on `License Fees' a
number of real estate agencies closed, others cut their staff. Alo
real estate agency established in 1994 closed from January 1, 2013, an
official from the agency said.
Director of Viva Realty agency Edward Harutyunyan told Tert.am that
some agencies closed and some were forced to cut their staff.
`Not all can work in these conditions,' Harutyunyan said, saying the
demanded sums are large.
An official from Alfa Realty said there are no deals, instead the
unemployment rate exceeds all expectations.
