    ORANGE BOOK PRIZE 2012 WINNERS NAMED IN ARMENIA

    YEREVAN, February 21. /ARKA/. Orange Book Prize 2012 awards ceremony
    took place on Wednesday in Yerevan, the press office of Orange
    Armenia reports.

    Nare Sahakyan, with her "Hamo's Favorite Flower", was the winner in
    the category Short Story.

    Hovhannes Teqgyozyan, with his "Skin Ache", was announced the winner
    in the category Novel.

    Erazik Grigoryan's "Your Excellency Bad Old Witch" brought the prize
    to the author in the category Fairy Tale and Shushanik Tamrazyan's
    "Magus Kings" was best in the category Poetry.

    The winning work in each category will be printed by quantity of
    500 and the authors of winning works, save " Prize for Popularity"
    winner, will be as well awarded with monetary prize - 500 000 AMD.

    Francis Gelibter, Orange Armenia CEO, congratulating the winners at
    the awards ceremony, said: "The great enthusiasm stirred up by this
    contest this year comes to prove that we are on the right path. The
    contemporary literature has a big potential in Armenia, indeed. This
    contest aims to support the contemporary Armenian writers, beginner
    or celebrated, present their unprinted works to the large public,
    the best of which will become a book."

    Orange Book Prize 2012 was held in two stages. In the first stage the
    Jury sel ected maximum three best works in each category, which then
    were published on Orange official webpage for public vote.

    The readers were provided the chance to vote for their favorite works
    fr om January 15 till February 15 via Facebook.

    The winner of the "Prize for Popularity" was selected purely based on
    the results of online voting. It is "Your Excellency Bad Old Witch"
    which collected 2253 votes.

    As a reminder, total 470 applications for participation in the contest
    have been presented, out of which 155 short stories, 236 poems,
    39 novels and 40 fairy tales. The contest is held already for the
    second time.

    The objective of this contest is to boost interest in reading, to
    discover the contemporary Armenian writers and spread their works among
    larger group of readers through the daily evolving electronic media.

    Orange Armenia, 100% subsidiary of France Telecom, launched its mobile
    voice and internet services on November 5, 2009 on the whole territory
    of the Republic of Armenia.

    As of today, the company has made around 250MLN Euro investments
    in Armenia (including the contribution for the license) and now the
    company provides a full range of voice and data services in 600 cities
    and villages of Armenia, to more than 95% of the population. ($1 -
