RAFFI HOVANNISIAN CALLS TO PUBLISH FULL RECORD OF HIS MEETING WITH SERZH SARGSYAN

YEREVAN.- Runner-up in Armenia's presidential elections Raffi
Hovannisian demanded that the complete record of his meeting with
Serzh Sargsyan must be made public.
"Shame on those who threaten to make public part of the record in
order to compromise me," he said at a press conference on Monday.
Earlier, Central Electoral Commission announced Serzh Sargsyan the
winner of Armenia's presidential elections.
Hovannisian said he had a 1.5-hour conversation with Sargsyan. "If
he deceived me, saying that we are alone, then let them make public
the full version of the record," he added.
"I told him that he was not an elected president and it was too early
to celebrate the victory drinking champagne. However, I noted that he
had made a great contribution to the development of Armenia. I also
offered Sargsyan several political options, but he refused to accept
them," said Hovannisian who is announced to poll 36.75% of votes.
Neither Hovannisian, nor Sargsyan suggested formation of a coalition,
he said, adding that the issues concerning posts were not mentioned.
"I also raised the question of punishing ballot-riggers, Sargsyan said
that he stands for punishing those guilty of rigging the elections."
Hovhannisyan also stressed he did not need the advice of deputy
speaker Edward Sharmazanov, urging him to run in the 2018 elections.
"The power will be in the hands of the people by that time. If he's
such a cool guy, let him publish a complete record of our meeting
with Serzh Sargsyan."
