STEPS TOWARDS AWARENESS
By mutual consent of the Penal Executive Department of Ministry of Justice
of Armenia and Civil Society Institute (CSI) NGO in all pre-trial detention
centers brochures "Rights of detainees in Armenia" and "Rights of Arrestees
in Armenia", published by CIS were distributed. These brochures
comprehensibly present rights of detainees and arrestees. Currently
brochures are being distributing among relatives of persons deprived of
their liberty in the rooms where parcels are accepted.
Mentioned brochures are very popular both among the prisoners and their
relatives. Since the start of the program about 5000 copies of brochures
have been distributed.
