ARMENIA'S PM FINDS THAT COOPERATION BETWEEN "ARMENPRESS" AND KUNA WILL CONTRIBUTE TO ARMENIAN-KUWAITI TIES

YEREVAN, APRIL 2, ARMENPRESS. The cooperation between "Armenpress" and
Kuwait News Agency can essentially contribute to the expansion of ties
of the two countries. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia
Tigran Sargsyan stated this during the meeting of the Director of
"Armenpress" News Agency Aram Ananyan and Chairman, General Manager
of KUNA H. E. Sheikh Mubarak Deij Al-Ebraheem Al-Sabah. As reports
"Armenpress" the Head of the Government noted: "We are glad that
ties between the national agencies of our two countries are also
strengthening. We are very interested in it, especially taking
into consideration that the Government always assisted 95-year old
"Armenpress". I am confident that news agencies can efficiently
contribute to the expansion of bilateral relations, because due to
the news we can have a better understanding of current processes,
and introduce projects of mutual interests as well."
The Director of "Armenpress" News Agency Aram Ananyan laid a heavy
emphasis on the fact that the 95-year old agency currently tries to
implement new projects despite the present challenges in the media
sphere. He also stressed that one should not be afraid of them,
but coordinate his moves in accordance with them. Ananyan stated:
"We are hopeful that this cooperation will open "the news doors"
of the Gulf for Armenia, where the presence of our partner is very
serious and palpable."
In turn, the Chairman, General Manager of KUNA H. E. Sheikh
Mubarak Deij Al-Ebraheem Al-Sabah expressed conviction that the
Armenian-Kuwaiti relations will also record progress, be strengthened
and expanded due to the cooperation in the media sphere. Among other
things H. E. Sheikh Mubarak Deij Al-Ebraheem Al-Sabah expressed
gratitude to the Director of "Armenpress" News Agency Aram Ananyan
for the invitation and stated that he hopes that the mutual visits
will continue for the farther development of cooperation.
On April 2 the delegation of Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) paid a visit
to Armenia to establish relations with "Armenpress" News Agency and
sign documents on cooperation between the national news agencies of
the two countries. As reports "Armenpress" the Chairman and General
Manager of KUNA H. E. Sheikh Mubarak Deij Al-Ebraheem Al-Sabah, the
Director of International Relations Department of the news agency
Isam Al-Ruwa, and Manager of Staff Department Salem Al-Duvaysan have
been included in the delegation.
