AN ARMENIAN OF ALEPPO, A MEMBER OF HOMENETMEN, KILLED BY A SNIPER
On May 2, Aleppo (Syria) an Armenian was killed. The victim was killed
by a sniper, was Raffi Daghlian, member of the Armenian Athletic
Association Homenetmen. He was hit in the chest and died shortly
after his injury. On April 29, the bombings in the Armenian districts
of Aleppo had two minor injuries among the Armenians. Neighborhoods
populated by many Armenians of Suleymanie, Hamidia, Azizia and Nayal
had recorded then nine explosions causing damage and fires. Since 15
March 2011 the beginning of hostilities between the armed opposition
and the regime of Bashar al-Assad, according to the UN, more than
70,000 people have died. Armenian victims to date at 44 to 46.
