Elnur Aslanov: `Why doesn't the opposition raise the Nagorno Karabakh
problem at the European Parliament'

"The opposition has not put forward a proposal or concept in terms of
Azerbaijani statehood and national interests within 20 years"
Baku. Mubariz Aslanov - APA. `Why don't some opposition leaders, who
consider themselves herald of truth and justice in all issues, raise
the Nagorno Karabakh problem at the European Parliament? Why don't
some opposition leaders, who hold meetings in Europe, demonstrate
position to draw the attention of the international community to the
Nagorno Karabakh problem?', said chief of the Presidential
Administration Political Analysis and Information Provision Department
Elnur Aslanov, APA reports.
The PA official stated that the organizations such as ASAIF, the
National Assembly of Youth Organizations of Azerbaijan held forums,
conferences, protests and rallies on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict:
`But the groups, who are dissatisfied with the policy of Azerbaijani
authorities, have never demonstrated such a position. We are living in
a pluralistic, democratic and free society. The position of the
authorities can be supported and there can be those who have different
views. But now the question is the national issue, position and
responsibility. Why don't some persons want to understand the essence
of this responsibility?"
Official of the Presidential Administration said the opposition
leaders had not put forward a proposal, concept, nor demonstrated
activity in terms of Azerbaijani statehood and national interests
within 20 years.
