YEREVAN, JULY 3, ARMENPRESS: Famous Armenian boxer, champion of Europe
and World, four-time Soviet and multi-time Armenian champion Nshan
Munchyan on occasion of his 50th anniversary has been awarded with gold
medals of the ministry of Sport and Youth affairs of the Republic of
Armenia, National Olympic committee and boxing federation. "Armenpress"
was informed about this from the ministry of sport and youth affairs.

The solemn ceremony of Nshan Munchyan's jubilee took place on July
2 in Los Angeles where he lives now. He works as a head coach in
    International Sports Union sports club.

Nshan Munchyan started boxing in Armenia in 1976. He began boxing
under the Soviet Union. Munchyan won a gold medal at the 1987 European
Amateur Boxing Championships. After the Union's fall in 1991, Munchyan
