Armenia plans to join its former motherland, Russia, in banning the
promotion of non traditional sexual relationships.

The changes to the law have been proposed by Armenia's police force.

Gay Star News has reported seeing a draft of the resolution on
    Armenia's national police website.

The police have drafted a proposed Article 47.7 to the Administrative
Violations Code which would see Armenian citizens, legal entities
and officials fined by up to $4,000 for promoting so-called
    'non-traditional sexual relationships.'

Homosexuality was banned in Armenia for the better part of the last
century until it was finally decriminalised in 2003. In 2008 Armenia
was the first country to sign the UN Declaration on Sexual Orientation
and Gender Identity, yet Armenia's LGBTI community have no protection
against discrimination or legal recognition of their relationships.

They are also unable to adopt.
