YEREVAN, AUGUST 14, ARMENPRESS: The Russian journalist of one of the
Conde Nast Russia Periodicals Anna Sahakyan was prohibited to enter
Baku for having an Armenian surname. She is Russian, but she took
her Armenian husband's surname after the marriage. As reported by
Armenpress, Anna Sahakyan published about it in her Facebook page,
expressing her frustration about the case.

"Do not judge people by their nation. I have certainly heard that such
things happen but I could not believe that nonsense. I hope that my
modest words will reach the ears of Ilham Aliyev. Mr. Aliyev, be a
man at last and change your attitude towards the Armenians. I wanted
so much to see Baku and walk along the streets of the ancient city,
but I managed to see only a part of the sea. If there are Azerbaijanis
among my friends, I hope that they are ashamed of this", - wrote
    the journalist.

Anna Sahakyan also noted that she proudly bears her surname, as she
changed it for love. She stated that even after all this she would
not hate Azerbaijan, understanding quite well that all are equal
    before the God.
