EXPORT OF ARMENIAN CHEESE AND CURD INCREASED

YEREVAN, AUGUST 15, ARMENPRESS: The export volumes of cheese and
curd from the Republic of Armenia in the first half of 2013 have
increased by 51% in comparison with the same period of the previous
year. According to the data provided by the State Revenue Committee
at the Government of the Republic of Armenia, during the first
six months of 2013 401 tons of cheese and curd were exported from
Armenia with the total customs value of about one million US dollars,
as reported by Armenpress. The major part of the exported cheese and
curd from Armenia was supplied to the Russian Federation (396,4 tons)
and the other part was exported also to USA, Georgia and the United
Arab Emirates.
In 2012 903,6 tons of cheese and curd were exported from Armenia
in comparison with the 439,8 tons in 2011. The total export volumes
from the Republic in the months of January-June made 710 million 395
thousand US dollars.
