    YEREVAN, AUGUST 15, ARMENPRESS. The visit of the President of the
    Russian Federation Vladimir Putin to Azerbaijan proves that Russia is
    getting ready for the creation of the Eurasian Union. The Deputy of
    the Armenian National Assembly from the Republican party of Armenia
    Lernik Aleksanyan stated this at the course of the press conference
    convoked on August 15. As reports "Armenpress" the Deputy of the
    National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia underscored: "In its
    relations with Armenia and the other two countries Russia seeks its
    own interests in the South Caucasus and we must realize this."

    The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin paid a working
    visit to Azerbaijan on August 13. The Assistant to the President of
    the Russian Federation Yuri Ushakov reflected upon Putin's visit to
    Baku and stated that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian
    Federation Sergey Lavrov, the Minister of Defence of the Russian
    Federation Sergey Shoygu, the Minister of Energy of the Russian
    Federation Alexander Novak, the Minister of Emergency Situations of
    the Russian Federation Vladimir Puchkov, the Minister of Transport
    of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov, and a number of other high
    rank officials had been included in the Russian delegation.
