NUMBER OF ALTERNATIVE MILITARY SERVICEMEN TO BE LIMITED IN ARMENIA

YEREVAN, AUGUST 28, ARMENPRESS: The number of alternative military
servicemen in each military unit of Armenian Defense ministry can not
exceed the 3 percent of total number of mandatory military servicemen
of the unit.
"Armenpress" reports that corresponding bill is included in Armenian
government's August 29 session.
"Taking into consideration that according to demands of law alternative
military servicemen can not implement combat duty, carry, keep and
use weapon non making a limited number for such servicemen can create
problems in process of securing implementation of tasks put toward
military units," is mentioned in the justification of the bill.
The decision will come into force on the tenth day following the
official declaration.
