Freedom-fighters' rally has kicked off in Freedom Square in Yerevan,
    Armenia.

They are calling for combining efforts to improve the situation in
    the country.

Last week, Chairman of the Heritage party Raffi Hovannisian announced
his intention to participate in the rally.

Among the participants is member of the former Karabakh Committee
Ashot Manucharyan. Also, Vice-Chairman of the Heritage party Armen
Martirosyan participated in the two previous rallies.

Ashot Manucharyan called the rally "the military council's open
meeting." He was highly critical of Armenia's mass media for
humiliating freedom-fighters (participants in the Nagorno-Karabakh
war of liberation) by claiming that they hold rallies for the only
purpose of having their own problems solved.

"All the local mass media are engaged in this campaign. But we are
well aware who their masters are," Manucharyan said.

Manvel Yeghiazaryan, commander of the Arabo detachment, stated that
Armenia has over the past 20 years committed blunders. But it is not
the right moment to recall them now.

Yeghiazaryan called on the participants to be strong and face
    difficulties with courage.

"We are often afraid of saying something. That's why we are in this
    situation now," he said.

Freedom-fighters are determined to defend Armenia's people to the
end and they have no intention to leave Armenia.

The next rally is scheduled for September 5.

A number of students made speeches at the rally as well.

"We have come out to force these dregs of society to invalidate their
unlawful decisions," said Harutyun Lazarian, a student at Yerevan
    State University.

He announced students' intention to start a struggle and make their
    demands.
