WEIGHTLIFTING VETERAN AWARDED WITH GOLDEN MEDAL

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 1, ARMENPRESS: The Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs
of the Republic of Armenia Yuri Vardanyan awarded with golden medal the
Honored Coach of the Republic of Armenia and the USSR Arsen Galoyan
for the great contribution in the sports. As reported by Armenpress,
the Minister warmly congratulated Arsen Galoyan on the occasion of
his 86th birth anniversary and wished the prominent athlete and coach
success in the further activities.
Only in weightlifting Armenia has three Olympic champions - Yuri
Vardanyan, Oksen Mirzoyan and Israel Militosyan. They all were brought
up by Arsen Galoyan.
