Armenia intends to submit a list of monuments to the UNESCO World
Heritage List, Deputy Minister of Culture Arev Samuelyan said in the
course of the parliament hearings, Friday.

She said among the monuments to be submitted to UNESCO's consideration
are Kakavaberd Castle and a single-arch bridge near the Monastery
Sanahin, the rock drawings on Ukhtasar Mountain, prehistoric
megalithic monument Zorats-karer, the railway built in Tsarist days,
as well as monuments of the social realism: Sevan-Hrazdan Cascade of
HPPs, Sardarapat Memorial, and Mother-Armenia Monument. Samuelyan
said that inclusion in the UNESCO list is a complicate process that
will take several years. Armenian Monasteries Geghard and Azat River
headwaters, Etchmiadzin Cathedral and Churches, Zvartnots
archaeological monument, Haghpat and Sanahin Monasteries are already
in the List. The list of the non-material cultural heritage includes
"David of Sassoun" national epic poem, the art of khachkar and the
music of duduk. Aram Khachaturyan's notes and music are in the Memory
    of the World Register.
