    12:18 ~U 15.11.13

An Armenian church in the Turkish town of Keiser (historical Kesaria)
will re-open as an exhibition hall after reconstruction.

According to the Turkish-Armenian newspaper Agos, the municipal
authorities have made such a decision considering the local
population~Rs anger with the word ~Schurch~T featured on a poster
    during the repairs.

The poster was later replaced with a new one saying that the building
will serve as a center for culture and arts.

Before the repairs, the St Astvatsatsin church of Keiser served as
    venues for sporting events.

In an interview with the Turkish-Armenian publication, the Keisar
mayor said that 20 historical buildings are now under reconstruction
in the town. He confirmed the report that the former church will turn
    into an exhibition hall.

The mayor also unveiled a plan for collaborating with Armenian
architects, admitting that the building is a sample of Armenian
    architecture.

He said that the first poster had been removed because of
    non-correspondence with their standards.
