NAIRA ZOHRABYAN: "WE WILL NOT LET THE GOVERNMENT LEAD THE PEOPLE BY NOSE"

Government of Armenia has been leading the people by nose for many
years assuring them that the gas price will not be increased, says
Naira Zohrabyan, Secretary of Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Faction
in the Parliament.
The National Assembly is currently studying the motion of 4 factions -
Armenian National Congress, ARFD, PAP and Heritage - for creation of
an ad hoc committee to study the gas agreements with Russia.
"We want to know how that 300 million dollars debt was accumulated amid
assurances that the gas tariff has not changed. What has determined
the current margin and what made the government sign such a one- sided
agreement that makes all the future governments hostages," the MP said.
According to her, the ad hoc committee will unveil the government's
policy of robbing its own citizens. "The Government has concealed
the gas price from the people because of elections," Zohrabyan said.
