YEREVAN TO HOST CONCERT DEVOTED TO KINGDOM OF CILICIA

YEREVAN. - A concert of Armenian classical music, devoted to the day
of the proclamation of the Armenian Kingdom of Cilicia, will be held
Wednesday at the Cafesjian Center for the Arts, in Armenian capital
city Yerevan.
The works by renowned Armenian composers will be performed at the
event, the Center informs.
The history of Cilician Armenia is a substantial period in the
Armenian history.
Away from their original homeland, the Armenian people were able
to establish a kingdom, in the northeast of the Mediterranean Sea,
which existed for more than two centuries.
Cultural activities rapidly developed during the period of the kingdom
of the Cilician Armenia.
The famous Armenian arts and craftsmen of the time used to create
in Cilicia.
Painting, specifically miniature painting, reached a high development
in Cilician Armenia.
