    In 2013 in Armenia 41,906 children were born

    In 2013 in Armenia 41,906 children were born, which is 926 less, than
    in 2012, was reported to NEWS.am Medicine from the Ministry of Health
    of Armenia.

    The rate of birth in Armenia during the last years gradually drops: in
    2010 there were 44,737 children born in the country (2831 more, than
    in 2013), in 2011 the figure was 43,297, in 2012 it was 42,832.

    In 2013 in Yerevan 21,380 children were born, while the number of
    children born in all regions of the country taken together, was only
    20,526. For comparison in 2012 in the capital 21,998 children were
    born, which is 618 more, than during the last year. In the regions in
    2012 there were 20,834 children born, which is 308 more, than in 2013.

    Most children in 2013 were born in Shirak region - 3696, the least- in
    Vayots Dzor - 531. What about the other regions: in Aragatsotn region
    1087 children were born, in Syunik region the figure is 1430, in
    Araratit is 2530, in Kotayk - 2471, Armavir - 1987, Gegarkunik - 2591,
    Lori - 2834, Tavush - 1300.
