AROUND 1000 APPLICATIONS RECEIVED FOR ARMENIA-MADE ARMTAB

YEREVAN. - ArmTab Technologies has already received applications for
1000 - 1050 Armenian tablets ArmTab, said president of the company and
co-owner of the American company Minno Tablets Vahan Shakaryan (photo).
The main orders came from the Diaspora, therefore the tablets have
only an Armenian keyboard. But, tabletd will appear on the market with
"Vostan" and "Araks" operating systems.
"We cannot name the exact price yet, but it will be quite competitive
. The difference with the well-known brands will be approximately 50%,
and features will be the same," Shakaryan assured.
According to preliminary estimates, production is scheduled to be
launched in late May.
"This is not a final decision. This depends on how soon we will be
able to settle in a new location, free economic zone in Yerevan,"
he told reporters.
The company is not considering competition with Samsung or Apple,
it is out of the question.
"It would be a suicide. We will work with targeted clients with the
specification on their choice," he added.
