DIKTAT BY ONE POLITICAL FORCE TORPEDOES DEMOCRATIC PROCESS - NAIRA ZOHRABYAN

One-party political diktat in a country torpedoes any democratic
process, Secretary of the Prosperous Armenia parliamentary group
Naira Zohrabyan told Tet.am as she commented on Prosperous Armenia
Party (PAP) member Vartan Oskanian's statement on a one-party system
in Armenia.
"Even with great imagination, Oskanian's words cannot be interpreted
in this way. He only spoke of political monopoly in Armenia,
and Prosperous Armenia is struggling against it. A country with a
political diktat by one political force just torpedoes any democratic
process. Oskanian spoke of that," Zohrabyan said.
At a Thursday discussion, Oskanian voiced his opinion of Armenia's
accession to the Customs Union. According to him, the current situation
would be different if a political counterbalance existed in Armenia.
