Yerevan/Mediamax/. Representative of the Russian Embassy in Armenia
Svetlana Stepanova presented the new rules of stay in Russia for
    foreign citizens from visa-free countries.

Svetlana Stepanova noted that under the new law, non-visa migrants
may stay in Russia for not more than 90 days within a 180-day period,
    Mediamax reports.

"Citizens from visa-free countries should submit their documents
for any type of residence, work permit or patent. Otherwise, they
will have to leave the country after 90 days and return to Russia
only within 90 days. That doesn't concern students or the foreign
citizens who are in Russia as students or undergo treatment", noted
    the Embassy's representative.

Earlier, a foreign citizen who had the right for a visa-free entry,
stayed in Russia for 90 days and returned to the homeland, could again
move to Russia already in a few days. According to Svetlana Stepanova,
the new rules are not aimed at toughening but regulating the rules
of stay of citizens from visa-free countries.

According to the updates in the migration law, foreign students in
Russia are allowed to work without work permit from January 1.

Besides, legal entities who are foreign citizens should submit a
medical reference stating they have no HIV and socially dangerous
diseases to get work permit from 2014.
