ArmRusgasprom to find itself in 'sad situation' soon - Vahan Martirosyan

    12:53 * 16.02.14

Vahan Martirosyan, an Inranational Liberation Movement NGO, who
recently made ascandalous statement on the situation in Armenia's gas
sector, says that the NGO is waiting for another expert examination.

In an interview with Tert.am, Martirosyan said that the ArmRusgasprom
company will find itself in a "sad situation" after the examination
    results have been published.

Mr Martirosyan, have you faced pressure after you made that statement?

I have been given hints as if "to my benefit." But we do not take this
all seriously. We are not going to be their slaves. I want them to
realize they must be our humble servants.

You have actually hinted a class suit will be fined against
ArmRusgasprom if the problem evokes public response. Have you received
response from civil activists, opposition political forces, lawyers? I
would remind you of a precedent, People Against Armrusgasprom
initiative led by lawyer Vahe Grigoryan.

Some lawyers promised to help me in filing a class suit. We are
waiting of test results which will prove the authorities' frauds.

Have you received any complaints from citizens?

I cannot say we have collected signatures. But 100 people - not only
our movement members - are ready to sign a class suit. I have not
addressed the population, but I am ready to offer them to join us if
they have any complaints. The more people join the better.

ArmRusgasprom is holding a meeting to discuss the problem of caloric
value of gas. Are you going to take part and prove the frauds?

Why not? It is a zoo. I do not take such meetings seriously.

Four non-coalition parliamentary groups proposed a draft decision on
an ad hoc committee on the gas agreements, but the Republican Party of
Armenia (RPA) group rejected it. The Armenian parliament speaker later
spoke of the possibility of such a discussion, without saying if it
would be a committee or public hearing. But the head of the RPA group
said that they were expecting public response. Are you going to
officially address the four parliamentary groups?

Public demand is a fact. But it is not by addressing the four groups.
We are going to do it by means of demonstrations, and they will have
to take this into account. How do you imagine addressing the four
    parliamentary groups?
