U.S. mission is to be neutral - Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry

The U.S. mission is to be a neutral broker and call a spade a spade,
Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry`s spokesman Elman Abdullayev told Trend.
"During its mission as a mediator to resolve the Armenian-Azerbaijani
Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the United States should consider and
operate with facts," Abdullayev said, commenting on the meeting of the
American co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, James Warlick with the
representatives of the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA).
As Abdullayev said, the facts of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict known
to the international community.
"This is the occupation of Azerbaijani territories by Armenia and
committing bloody ethnic cleansing against Azerbaijanis. As it is
known, the resolutions of international organizations condemn Armenia
for the policy of occupation. Unfortunately, Armenia continues its
occupant policy, ignoring the international community, documents and
decisions adopted by international organizations in this regard, , "
Abdullayev said.
He expressed hope that the U.S. will not succumb to blackmail and
pressure of the Armenian lobby.
As a result of the ensuing war, in 1992 Armenian armed forces occupied
20 percent of Azerbaijan, including the Nagorno-Karabakh region and
seven surrounding districts.
The two countries signed a ceasefire agreement in 1994. The co-chairs
of the OSCE Minsk Group, Russia, France and the U.S. are currently
holding peace negotiations.
Armenia has not yet implemented the U.N. Security Council's four
resolutions on the liberation of the Nagorno-Karabakh and the
