    May 03, 2014 | 10:05

The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) ofTurkey convened a
High Council session on Friday, and it was chaired by Prime Minister
and AKP leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The party council conferred on the format in which AKP will run in the
parliamentary election in 2015, reported Milliyet daily of Turkey.

It was decided that the party charter, pursuant to which an AKP member
cannot vie for a parliamentary seat for more than three times, will
    remain in effect.

As a result, Erdogan and about seventy other well-known AKP public
figures can no longer be elected to the parliament.

To note, solely parliament members can be appointed PM and ministers in Turkey.
