THE JOURNALIST AND EDITOR OF ARMENIA TV CHANNEL ARE DISMISSED FOR PRESENTING THE PRIME MINISTER AS "HAVIK"

Two employees of the "Hour" news release over Armenia TV channel, the
journalist and author of the material and the editor of the broadcast,
are dismissed for writing and broadcasting the caption under the name
of the Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan as "Havik". The Director of
"Armenia" TV Company News Programs Gagik Lazarian said to Aravot.am
that the incident should not be given a political motive. "It was
just a misprint, there was no malicious intent, and the offenders are
already dismissed." To our question of whether they had received any
reprimand from the Prime Minister, he said, no. To our question of
whether it is possibly the attitude of the employee of the TV company
towards the Prime Minister to write Havik in the caption instead of
Hovik, Mr. Lazarian said, "Absolutely no, the whole problem is that
they are the very journalist and editor, who always cover and edit
the materials of the National Assembly, this is really a misprint."
