    YEREVAN. May 6

The Syrian Embassy in Armenia is opening a polling station for Syrian
residents to vote in the May 28 presidential election.

On Tuesday the Embassy urged Syrians staying in Armenia and Georgia
    to cast their ballots.

The Embassy press service advised that voters planning to participate
in the election get registered before May 16.

The Armenian Ministry of Diaspora estimated the size of the Armenian
community in Syria at 40,000 to 45,000 persons. About 10,000 Syrian
Armenians have moved to Armenia since the beginning of the conflict.
