GOVERNMENT HAD NO REPLY FOR GARBAGE

Currently over 500 landfill sites and numerous garbage dumps have
been created or formed in Armenia, which occupy around 1500 ha of
area, which cause most serious environmental and sanitary problems,
as "Country of Laws" Faction MP Levon Dokholyan said at Q&A session
with the Armenian Government at the National Assembly on 8 April. "My
question is whether establishing garbage processing plants is on the
agenda of the government? Whether it's possible to grant privileges
and to interest those startups, which can and wish to deal with garbage
processing?" the MP asked the Government. None of the Cabinet members
answered the question and it was proposed to submit the question for
written reply.
