NATO WELCOMES ARMENIA'S WILLINGNESS TO SEND PEACEKEEPERS TO AFGHANISTAN

Ambassadors of 26 NATO member states welcomed Armenia's participation
n the peacekeeping operation in Kosovo within KFOR forces and
the willingness of the Armenian side to discuss the perspectives
of sending its peacekeepers to Afghanistan, representative of NATO
Press Office said in a phone interview with Mediamax, commenting on
yesterday's sitting of the North-Atlantic Council in 26+1 format,
featuring RA Defense Minister Serge Sargsyan, who was appointed RA
Prime Minister on April 4 and Deputy Foreign Minister Arman Kirakosyan.
Concrete issues and terms of Armenia's possible participation in the
operation in Afghanistan were not discussed during the sitting of
the North-Atlantic Council.
