Kerkorian Says Child Must Meet Real Dad

LOS ANGELES -- Kirk Kerkorian wants his 9-year-old daughter to meet
    her biological father.

The billionaire financier filed papers in Superior Court on Wednesday
to lift a restraining order obtained by his ex-wife that prevents the
girl from seeing Hollywood producer Stephen Bing. A hearing was
    scheduled for Oct. 16.

Kerkorian, 90, has joint legal custody of the girl, Kira, even though
Lisa Bonder Kerkorian acknowledged during a child support battle that
she had faked a DNA paternity test by using saliva she obtained from
    Kerkorian's adult daughter.

The child, who lives with her mother on the East Coast, has known for
at least five years that she has "two papas" and that Bing was one of
    them, court papers stated.

Now, the girl is "much more mature and better able to understand that
Bing is her biological father and that he desires a meaningful
relationship with her," according to the documents cited Thursday by
    the Los Angeles Times.

Bing, who also fathered a son with Elizabeth Hurley, has repeatedly
said he "wanted to be involved with Kira and take some financial
responsibility." He agreed in 2003 to contribute $25,000 a month to
her support, according to a July letter from Kerkorian's attorney to
    Bing's lawyer.

The letter also alleged, however, that Bing "has never done anything
to become a father to this child, either emotionally or financially.
Meanwhile, Mr. Kerkorian has never shirked from providing financial
support for Kira, despite having been defrauded into believing Kira
    was his biological daughter."

A phone call seeking comment from Bing's attorney, Robert Kaufman of
Beverly Hills, produced a taped message Thursday stating that
Kaufman's law firm has a long-standing policy of not responding to
    media inquiries.
