SERGE SARGSYAN SENDS CONDOLENCES TO RUDOLF KHACHATRYAN FAMILY

Today Prime Minister Serge Sargsyan sent a letter of condolence to
the family of Rudolf Khachatryan, which stated "With great sorrow
I learned of the death of one of the best known Armenian painters,
People's Artist Rudolf Khachatryan. No matter where he created,
be it Moscow, London, or elsewhere, his soul was always tied to the
homeland and his national roots.
His creations are filled with optimism and light, and are a great
contribution to not only Armenian, but world culture.
I offer my deep condolences to his family and those near to him,
as well as to those who adored his work."
We point out that in connection with Khachatryan's death, assistant
prime minister Hovik Aprahamyan has created a governmental committee,
which will be headed by Culture Ministry representative Gagik Gyurjyan.
