MAIDEN SITTINGS OF CONSTITUENCY ELECTORAL COMMISSIONS 37 AND 38 ARE HELD

KAPAN, AUGUST 22, NOYAN TAPAN. In accordance with Article 36 of the
RA Electoral Code, the maiden sittings of Constituency Electoral
Commissions 37 and 38 of Syunik were held on August 21. Arthur
Gevorgian, a representative of the ARF Dashnaktsutiun, was elected
Chairman of Constituency Electoral Commission 38, Gagik Hovhannisian,
who was nominated by the RA President, was elected Deputy Chairman
of the above-mentioned Constituency Electoral Commission, and Ramela
Hakobian, a representative of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA),
was elected secretary. It should be mentioned that these three
people held the same offices in Constituency Electoral Commission 38
before. Costitiuency Electoral Commission 38 comprises the cities
of Kapan, Kajaran, Meghri, and Agarak, as well as the villages of
that region.
Armen Stepanian, a representative of the RA President, was re-elected
Chairman of Constituency Electoral Commission 37 of Syunik, Vardan
Davtian, a representative of the Republican Party of Armenia
(RPA), was elected secretary of the above-mentioned constituency
electoral commission, and Ara Mkrtchian, a representative of the
"Bargavatch Hayastan" ("Prosperous Armenia") party, was elected Deputy
Chairman. Constituency Electoral Commission 37 comprises the regions
of Sisian and Goris.
