"INOVATIONECA 2007" KICKS OFF IN YEREVAN

>From September 7-20, for the first time in Yerevan, the "Inovationeca
2007" conference will take place, organized by the INFODEF organization
of the World Bank and the "Incubator Enterprises" fund. Yerevan.ru
gave this information. According to this source, countries from Eastern
Europe and over 100 Asian countries, as well as the US and Australia,
will arrive in Yerevan to take part in the conference. They will
discuss the financing of the countries' innovation activities and
stimulation of these activities by major organizations.
According to Bagrat Yengibaryan, the final two days of the
"Inovationeca 2007" conference will be dedicated to advancing the
cooperation of incubator technologies between Eastern European and
Asia countries. In his words, "Such a conference has never been held
in the South Caucasus or nearby regions. This will add to Armenia's
ranking as a country of advanced information technologies."
The fund's director says that Armenia was chosen due to the fund's
successes, which were presented at Cambridge (Great Britain) by
the World Bank at a similar conference in 2006 in the Indian city
of Haydarabad.
