FOURTH PAN-ARMENIAN GAMES WILL FEATURE PARTICIPANTS FROM 26 COUNTRIES

Issues connected with preparation of the Fourth Pan-Armenian Games
were discussed during July 31 meeting of the governmental organization
committee.
The President of the committee, RA Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs
Armen Grigoryan presented the process of the organization works,
the scenarios of opening and closing ceremonies, and other issues.
Ten sports are included in the program of the Games to be held
in Yerevan August 18-26. These include basketball, football,
mini-football, volleyball, athletics, tennis, table tennis, chess,
swimming and badminton. It was noted that as of 31 July, 2,200
participants from 69 cities of 26 countries have already registers. In
general, about 56 thousand people from the Diaspora are expected to
participate in the Pan-Armenian Games. Unlike the previous time,
professional sportsmen will also participate in the competitions
this year.
