ARMENIA WILL PARTICIPATE IN THE MILITARY COOPERATION - 2007 AS AN OBSERVER

As an observer Armenia will participate in the second stage of the
Military Cooperation - 2007 military exercises of the joint air defense
system of the CIS member states, Press Secretary of the Ministry of
Defense, Colonel Seyran Shahsuvaryan informed. The military exercises
will take place August 14-24 in Astrakhan. The Armenian delegation
will be led by RA Defense Minister Michael Harutyunyan.
The military exercises will feature representatives of Russia,
Belarus and Kazakhstan.
The first stage of the exercises was held in Chita at the end of
July. The final 3rd and 4th stages will be held late August-early
September in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan respectively.
