HIS HOLINESS ARAM I RECEIVES FORMER PRESIDENT
AMINE JEMAYEL
His Holiness Aram I received the former president of Lebanon, Amine Jemayel
on July 31. The Catholicos and his guest met for about an hour discussing
the difficulties and challenges facing Lebanon and the upcoming
parliamentary elections in Metn.
Former President Jemayel informed His Holiness about the recent developments
and the current situation. The Catholicos stressed the importance of
maintaining unity among the Christians in general and during the Metn
election in particular. He underlined the need to find a solution acceptable
to all through mutual understanding.
