JUNIOR EUROVISION SONG CONTEST REPORT 1: ARMENIA IS A STRONG CANDIDATE TO WIN

    Dec 4 2007

    Rehearsals report 1 [Day 4]

    Belgium
Quite interesting and quite quality entry from Belgium. It has to
win just because it is a great song and performance. But the draw
might not help them. It seems that it will get many points and the
    kids are performing very well.

    Romania
The performance in quite impressive although the stage is too big
sometimes as the monitors cover the event. It definitely reminds us
the coverage of the Belgian JESC in 2005 in Hasselt. The Romanian
entry could do very well, the kids are great on stage but maybe the
draw is too bad for them.

    Russia
Nice but still a copy song from the 2006 entry for Russia. The outfits
in grey white and black might help the Russian entry but at some points
the performance was quite boring. Definitely not a winner this year.

    Portugal
Quite nice performance. Jorge is strong in his performance but the
Portuguese entry has not the fonts to win the contest. Something
is missing everyone said. Though this boy is skilled and with good
    potentials for the future.

    Cyprus
The surprise of the day. Yorgos Ioannides gave an excellent
performance. He can easily score high on the night of December 8. As
of today Cyprus bids strongly for the victory. Well done Yorgos,
    you impressed everyone.

    Georgia
The Georgian performance was a good opening for the contest. At the
same time though this song might loose many points as it appears
first. Cannot see the people start televoting for Georgia although
    the song seems quite interesting.

    Armenia
Another potential winner. This song can be appealing. Arevik are
giving a great performance and although there are too many kids on
stage, the outcome is not bothering the viewers (hopefully). Armenia
is a strong candidate to win.
