25 MILLION AMD FOR NEW YEAR CELEBRATIONS IN YEREVAN

About 25 million Armenian AMD has been allocated for conducting
the New Year arrangements in Yerevan. Head of the Yerevan City Hall
Department on Culture, Youth Affairs and Sport Kamo Movsisyan informed
during today's briefing that the celebration will start at 21:00 on
December 31.
Festive concerts will be held also on January 6th, the Christmas Day
and January 13th, the Old New Year. December 31 through January 13
festive arrangements will be organized for children at the Republican
Square and the communities of Yerevan.
According to Kamo Movsisyan, the installation and decoration of the
main New Year Tree at the Republican Square will be completed by
December 19.
On New Year Days the activity of Santa Clauses and Snow Maidens will
be controlled. "We have already paid to those Santa Clauses, who are
authorized to amuse children on the holidays," Kamo Movsisyan noted.
