THE RENOVATION OF THE VEHARAN IS COMPLETED
The Veharan of the Catholicosate of Cilicia in Antelias was fully renovated
during the last few months. This was the first comprehensive renovation of
the Veharan since its construction.
The project, funded by the generous donation of Mr. Gapriel Chemberdjian,
was completed last week with the necessary renovations and decoration. On 27
May 2007, Catholicos Aram I had awarded the Medal of "Cilician Prince" to
Mr. and Mrs. Chemberdjian, commending their dedication to the Armenian
nation and the Catholicosate of Cilicia.
His Holiness has planned a series of further renovation works which will be
launched in the future in the Antelias Catholicosate, the Saint
Asdvadzadzine Monastery in Bikfaya and the Armenian Orphanage the "Birds'
Nest" in Jbeil-Byblos.
