CoE closely observes the talks on the Karabakh conflict

Despite the fact that the Council of Europe is not engaged in the
negotiations on the settlement of the Karabakh conflict, it closely
observes the process of dialogue between the Foreign Ministers and
Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, declared Council of Europe
Director General on Political Issues Jean-Louis Laurens, who is paying
a visit to Azerbaijan, Trend reports.
He expressed hope that the dialogue will result in the peaceful
resolution of the conflict. Jean-Louis Laurens noted that when joining
the council of Europe Azerbaijan and Armenia assumed the
responsibility to settle the conflict in a peaceful way.
