ARMENIAN DEPUTY FM, SYRIAN CHARGE D'AFFAIRES DISCUSS BILATERAL RELATIONS

YEREVAN, February 7. /ARKA/. RA Deputy Foreign Minister Gegham
Gharibjanyan held a meeting with the newly appointed Syrian Charge
d'Affaires Mamun Khariri.
Gharibjanyan wished his success in his mission and expressed the
confidence that the sides are willing to intensify the Armenian-Syrian
relations, the Press and Information Department, RA Foreign Office,
reports Gharibjanyan stressed that the issues discussed during his
recent visit to Syria and the agreements reached are an important
stimulus to the development of bilateral relations. He pointed out
effective cooperation in the education sphere.
In his turn, Khariri expressed his satisfaction with the traditionally
friendly Armenian-Syrian relations, pointing out the importance of
intensifying the steps to develop bilateral trade and economic
relations and Armenian-Syrian cooperation in international
organizations.
The sides also discussed the issues related to the 4th meeting of
the Intergovernmental Commission to be held in Damascus.
